Our Back Story
It’s 1989. Career TV adman, Bill Riddle, has positioned himself as a top advertising sales force. At the same time, Dennis Burns, commercial director and cinematographer, has grown Pacific Focus into Hawaii’s premiere film/video production house. It was only natural that Bill and Dennis would become friends and business partners.
Big Hotels: Big Opportunities
At the Hilton Hawaiian Village guests needed to know about the shopping and dining opportunities available to them at the expansive Waikiki resort. Or they would be spending the majority of their time and money in off-property restaurants and stores. Collaborating with Hilton’s management, Dennis and Bill developed the concept for cutting-edge, multi-lingual, hotel TV channels. These channels would be broadcast in English and Japanese, 24/7. Visitor Video was borne. And the results were dramatic.
Visitor Video’s Concept
The hotel TV channel concept was soon adopted by the Sheraton Hotels in Hawaii and at the KoOlina Resort. Visitor Video has continued to serve these hotels, now with 30 hotel-specific channels Statewide.
